Given the delicate intricacies of giving to traditional missions, the novelty of the digital realm and possibilities in the Metaverse, coupled by the general lack of Christian presence in these spaces, such projects are indubitably a faith journey itself. Therefore, any missions projects that MissionDAO will back post-’Genesis’ Mint will rely heavily on the collective wisdom of our community, due diligence done by the MissionDAO Team, and our Board of Advisors (BoAs).

The SOP for selecting missionaries and projects to back would be as follows:

MDAO-Voting Flow.png

  1. Submission: Anyone (outside or in the MissionDAO Community) would be able to make a proposal submission via our Google Form (which will be made available once the 75% mint milestone has been met).

  2. Primary Vetting & Informal Voting by DAO Token Holders: When a proposal is submitted, key information will be sent to MissionDAO’s Discord Channel, where DAO Token Holders can review it and vote to decide whether the proposal will be taken up for due diligence or if it should be rejected.

  3. Due Diligence: If there is sufficient interest in the proposal, our Due Diligence team will spend the next three weeks conducting in depth due-diligence on the credibility and viability of the proposal, before raising it up to our Board of Advisors (BoAs) for final vetting.

  4. Community Update: The MissionDAO Team will update DAO Token Holders about the status of all that was proposed and invite them to an official vote to determine if those that have been approved during the due diligence round should be proceeded or rejected.

  5. Formal Voting: After the Community Update, the Formal Vote will be held on Snapshot for 48 hours, where holding 1x MissionDAO NFT token will be equivalent to 1 vote.

  6. Follow-up: Missionaries would then receive the funds, disbursed through our multi-sig protocol. They would also be encouraged to provide periodic updates - or channel their newsletters - to the MissionDAO community, to keep the community invested in the project for future rounds of funding.
